Did you know… that orderly and straight can be translated into the same German word (ordentlich)? That’s so queer! *g*
But that is not why I dragged your attention to my blog again. I wanted to make this place as clearly laid out as possible and I feel that I am failing. So, I tried to come up with categories. I guess, I am a little obsessed at times but I think wordpress makes it rather easy to structure the blog and I want to use this… also, I did not know that I might want to write about something that does not so much touch on anthropological stuff but on everything I feel strongly about or read about or think about.
So, here ‘t goes:
Let’s play… : this should be the category where I actually ramble about anthropological stuff, or what I would put under this category, anyways. Maybe it is really sociology, maybe it is just ‘this is sort of strange, why are people doing this’.
Define… : Words I use or read about, expressions that are interesting or weird (I really like the word weird, although it is pretty much meaningless), phrases, word-gumbo… I like to talk about language sometimes but it’s not necessarily something I would discuss at length outside my head. Lucky me, that I have a blog! (You know what I just thought? Well, probably not. I thought that I am looking forward to going to the Weihnachtsmarkt in Lübeck when I am back home… hmmm… drinking Lumumba! *g*)
Oh look, it’s a book… : I like to talk and write and think about books. And sometimes I even read them. When I come across a very good one, or a very bad one, or an exceptional one in any other way I will just tell you under that header. My very own Ophrah Bookclub, so to speak.
I will probably set up something about movies and tv shows as well since I am a movie geek and a tv junk… I don’t have a title yet. I keep you posted on it.
There will probably be a category about feminism as well, and maybe something about queer topics. I am still thinking this through but I guess you will see when I finally put the headers up.
This is pretty exciting, y’know. I mean, blog-posting keeps me sane at the moment and I like to think about some when I am fed up with all the stuff I have to do for university. You cannot just live for work and this is what I do to relax. I am relaxed now…
